Hospice of Cincinnati's Quality, Safety and Service Shared Leadership Committee wants to remind team members to drive safely.
The committee started a safe-driving campaign, "Drive Safely - Because Heaven Can Wait," for several reasons:
- Hospice and other TriHealth staff members are on the road daily, meeting home care and long-term care patient and family needs, or traveling from site to site.
- Many staff members have children of driving age.
- Health care providers know too well what happens in a severe motor vehicle accident - to the patient and the family.
- Hospice grief counselors work with many clients who are dealing with the loss of someone as a result of a motor vehicle accident.
As you travel throughout the workday - and all day - consider the following driving tips to keep yourself and others safe. For further details, view this presentation (PDF) by Hospice of Cincinnati.
