TriHealth Bridge

Help the United Resource Group for Equality make a difference in the lives of homeless LGBT children and young adults in our community.

As a team member resource group, URGE works to strengthen lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender-focused efforts at TriHealth and in the community. About 40-percent of homeless and at-risk youth identify themselves as LGBT.

URGE, the Human Rights Campaign Greater Cincinnati Chapter and Lighthouse Youth Services invite you to volunteer your time or donate items to this population as part of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service on Jan. 19, an initiative meant to translate Dr. King's teachings into community action.

Help make a difference by donating any of the following items in travel sizes:

  • Soap
  • Shampoo
  • Toothbrushes
  • Toothpaste
  • Deodorant
  • Wet wipes
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Tissues
  • Combs

Donation boxes will be placed in the cafeterias at Bethesda North, Bethesda Oak and Good Samaritan for drop off. Or, purchase these items directly from HRC Cincinnati's Amazon.com wishlist. Items can be shipped to the gift registry address listed.

Volunteers will use these items to assemble care bags from 9 a.m. to noon at Lighthouse Youth Services, 401 E. McMillan St.

For more information, or to volunteer with URGE on Jan. 19, contact Julianna Bailey at Julianna_Bailey@TriHealth.com.
