Congratulations to Susan Macy, RN, BSN, MBA, who will be serving as the new Chief Nursing Officer of the Good Samaritan region, effective immediately. Susan has been serving as the Director of Critical Care for Good Samaritan and as the interim CNO for the past few weeks as we finalized the selection process.
Susan has been an excellent addition to our TriHealth family since she joined the organization earlier this year, blending right into our culture, accepting and adapting to the TriHealth Way. With a proven track record of execution and collaboration, Susan has already effectively shown her leadership range and depth during her tenure at TriHealth. As CNE, I will continue to provide vision and strategic direction for nursing across our system, while Susan will focus on execution at the local level. Together with Stefanie Newman our BN regional CNO we are committed to excellence in nursing practice, patient care and the patient experience.
Congratulations as well to Rhonda Wilson, MSN, RN, NE-BC, on her promotion to Director of Critical Care for Good Samaritan Hospital, also effective immediately. Rhonda has been a nurse manager at Good Sam since 2000, with experience as a nurse manager at two other hospitals prior to TriHealth. She has successfully led the telemetry unit through the implementation of many best practices, as well as a decrease in falls and increase in staff certifications. An experienced leader, mentor and teacher, Rhonda will be a great asset in this new role.
Judy Mitchell, MSN, RN, PMHNP-BC, Nursing Director of Behavioral Health Services, will continue her interim oversight of the Med-Surg division for Good Samaritan Hospital. I have complete confidence in Judy’s success with this expanded scope of responsibility.
Thank you all for your patience during this transitional period. We are excited for the future of Nursing at TriHealth!
