In the event of inclement weather, TriHealth operates a transport pool to help ensure our hospital team members get to work safely.
Once the on-call hospital administrator and security director declare a state of emergency, team members who are able should still report to work, even if their departments are not open, as other areas of the hospitals require help caring for our patients.
At that time, a transport pool will begin operating. To be included in the transport pool, contact your department manager who will notify the security department to arrange for transportation from your home.
Please note: Because hospital team members are considered essential personnel, you are allowed to drive, even during a level 3 snow emergency, as long as you are traveling to or from a hospital. If you are pulled over, you need only show your hospital I.D. and officers should allow you to continue to the hospital.
If you have a fourth-wheel-drive vehicle, are planning to drive to or from work, and are able to assist in transporting other team members, contact the Security Department to find out whether there are other staff members nearby who you can transport.
For more information or comments about transportation, contact Mark Eppert at Good Samaritan, 513 862 2476, or Walt Krimmer at Bethesda North, 513 865 1119.
