The School at Work (SAW) program will return to Good Samaritan this fall, providing a way for team members to learn valuable skills at their workplace.
SAW participants will:

  • Gain knowledge needed to move ahead in their jobs
  • Learn to use a computer and how to take courses online
  • Refresh their mathematics, reading and communications skills
  • Improve their people and customer-service skills
  • Build health care specific skills
  • Learn concepts that can help them assist their children or grandchildren with homework
  • Boost their self confidence

To be eligible for the program, team members must:

  • Have been employed by TriHealth for at least six months
  • Work 32 hours a week in their current position at or near Good Samaritan
  • Not have had a disciplinary action in place within the past six months

Those accepted in the SAW program are expected to attend weekly afternoon sessions, Wednesdays from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., at Good Samaritan, for eight months, starting in October. (Employees with a college education would not be a candidate for this program.)

Start the process by talking to your manager and attending an information session/reading assessment from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Service First Classroom on the 11th Floor at Good Samaritan on one of the following dates:

  • Tuesday, Aug. 13
  • Thursday, Aug. 15
  • Tuesday, Aug. 20
