Liu "Ming" Xiaoming

Three Bethesda North team members have received the gift of education, thanks to a new scholarship established in memory of longtime Bethesda North radiology team member Liu “Ming” Xiaoming.

The first recipients, breast center team member Beverly Clotz, and radiology team members Melissa Allesi and Shawn Luebbe, will be able to use the scholarship funds for conferences and professional organization meetings.

After Xiaoming lost her battle with a brain tumor, her husband, Xinhao Wang Ph.D., and daughters, Melissa and Ellen, established the Liu “Ming” Xiaoming Scholarship to support team members of the radiology department and the TriHealth Cancer Institute at Bethesda North in their educational goals.

Not only did Xiaoming work for the department, but she also received treatment at Bethesda North’s ambulatory treatment center.

In a recent letter, Xiaoming’s daughters wrote of the values their mother instilled in them:

“She strove to teach us the value of finding balance in life – between responsibility and desire; between exceeding our potential and excessive expectations; between dreaming big and working hard.”
