TriHealth Bridge

February 24, 2014

TriHealth Finance, Materials Management and Information Systems partnered to go live on Sunday, Feb. 23, with an upgrade to the current Lawson applications.

The current applications include accounts payable and purchasing, but the upgrade also provided the necessary security and technology infrastructure that will allow our system to implement additional applications in the next year.

These additional applications will include:

  • General Ledger application planned for go-live in July 2014
  • Human Capital Management (HR) and Payroll systems in January 2015, which include:
    • Manager Self-Service - the time-consuming process of printing PA forms and faxing or mailing them will be a thing of the past. With available workflow, information managers need to complete requests regarding staff will be easily available. And, managers will always be able to see where things are in the process!
    • Team Member Self-Service - Employees want and need to have more complete and unified access to their own information. Life events will be easier to manage, even down to a simple submission of a name or address changeLawson will also support the on-line benefits enrollment process which is currently outsourced for our team members beginning in spring of 2015.

You will hear more details about these additional changes in the coming months.

There are also plans to implement several supply chain tools, including contract management, strategic sourcing (RFP processing) supply chain analytics and recall management. Both the benefits and supply chain tools will support a strong return on investment for the project. These changes will improve information flow and efficiencies throughout the organization.

Moving forward, TriHealth will continue to fully integrate technology in support departments through an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This will replace the remaining functions currently supported by Meditech.

ERP systems integrate internal and external management information across an entire organization - including finance/accounting, human resources, payroll, materials management and others.
