TriHealth Bridge

February 03, 2015

Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of American women. Each year, one in three women dies of heart disease and stroke. With the right lifestyle changes, however, 80 percent of these deaths are preventable.

Heart disease in women may have an atypical presentation, so Stephen Lewis MD, of the TriHealth Heart Institute, says, "Seek attention immediately for any symptoms that seem to be out of the ordinary. Go to your doctor and sort out the issue."

Celebrate Go Red for Women on Feb. 6

Go Red for Women, a national movement dedicated to preventing cardiac-related deaths in females, is Friday, Feb. 6

Create awareness by wearing red (men, you can, too!) and start the journey toward a more active lifestyle by signing up for the Heart Mini 2015.

Register by Feb. 15 for a TriHealth-Branded T-Shirt

Those who register for the Heart Mini by Feb. 15 will receive a Heart Mini T-Shirt branded with the TriHealth logo on the back.

This is also the deadline to have your race packet delivered to your team captain.  All those who register after this date will need to pick up their packet race-weekend (Saturday at the Duke Convention Center or Sunday, before their Heart Mini event begins. Learn more.)
