Chris Adamson, a social worker at Good Samaritan, was named No. 1 Team Member by Good Samaritan Firestarters for October.]

Chris was walking on her lunch break recently when she noticed an elderly gentleman trying to cross Clifton Avenue. Realizing the man was not going to make it across the street before the light changed, Chris jumped into action and ran to assist the man.

Even after the light turned green, giving the cars the right of way, Chris continued to stand between the oncoming traffic and the gentleman, preventing anyone to continue until the man had crossed the street safely.

Several people passed and saw this elderly gentleman and no one stopped to help, but Chris was more than willing. She is truly a Good Samaritan.
