Charles Gilliam, a 25-year team member, discovered a wallet with $1,000 in cash in a wheelchair as he was assisting another patient coming to the Medical Office Building at Good Samaritan where he is a valet.
Charles believed that the wallet had fallen out of another patient’s pocket and immediately turned the wallet over to Security. The owner was contacted and retrieved the wallet.
“Who knows why there was that much money in the wallet?” Charles said. “It could have been for medicine or to pay for their health care. There was never a thought of doing anything but finding the owner.”
Dave Bass, director of Corporate Security, was not surprised when he learned who found the wallet.
“Charles shows his strong integrity every day," he said.
