Every other month for the past two years, Bethesda North Diversity Advisory Council and Bethesda North Nutrition have sponsored and coordinated Cultural Cuisines.
Through foods, Bethesda North team members and guests have traveled the globe. Examples of past cuisines include Southeast Asia, Caribbean Islands, the former USSR, India, Latin America and the British Isles.
Now, Bethesda North DAC and Bethesda North Nutrition will celebrate America as the final Cultural Cuisine in this series.
On Thursday, July 24 in the hospital's Creekside Café, guests and team members can travel across the US through foods that make us unique as Americans. From Texas beef brisket to Boston baked beans and Wisconsin mac and cheese - this will be a grand all-American menu.
Does a Louisiana Shrimp Po Boy sandwich sound good? Then stop at the grill. There will be Cincinnati's famous 3-Way Chili, Philly cheese steaks and buffalo chicken wings. For the soup lover: Bayou Gumbo or New England clam chowder.
Creekside Café will be serving dishes that are as American as apple pie.
As a special treat, when you walk into the Creekside Café on July 24, check out the windows in the lobby area - they will be painted with things that make Cincinnati our own melting pot. Throughout the month of July, artist Morgan Rose has kept us guessing about what American landmarks and state icons he will paint. For this final week, it will be all about our hometown … Cincinnati.
