Cathy Jones and Jennifer Weaver of Corporate Education were invited by the Association for Nursing and Professional Development (ANPD) to develop and present posters for the 2014 convention, which took place in July.

Cathy was also encouraged to write a journal article as a follow-up to the information presented.

Susan Bindon, co-editor of the Journal for Nurses in Professional Development, said she asked presentors of the "most interesting, unique, and/or compelling posters to consider submitting their ideas as manuscripts" to the Journal for Nurses in Professional Development or another journal.

"Part of the NPD specialist role is to disseminate and share our best ideas and projects, and publishing is a great way to do so," she said.

The poster topics were:

  • Creating an Interactive Nurse Residency Program: Redesigning Transition into Practice (View poster – PDF)
  • Horizontal Violence/Bullying: Instilling a Culture of “Zero Tolerance” (View poster – PDF)

Cathy Jones MSN, RN, CCRN, NE-BC, is Supervisor, Education Technology. Jen Weaver RN, MSN, NE-BC, is Manager, Corporate Education.
