In order to provide a more integrated patient experience, the TriHealth Cancer Institute will move services offered at Mt. Airy to Good Samaritan and close the Inter Community Cancer Center, effective Friday, March 21.
"Moving forward we are confident that we will be able to provide better coordination of our cancer care by allowing our patients to see both Medical Oncologists and Radiation Oncologists during the same visit at the same location, allowing them to formulate a treatment plan together," said Mark Witte, executive director, TriHealth Cancer Institute.
"This is the model of integrated cancer care we are focusing on throughout the TriHealth Cancer Institute and will be the basis for future sites. Our number one goal for our patients is to provide integrated patient centered care and extraordinary quality and service."
In addition, the new linear accelerator at Good Samaritan enables TriHealth to treat a wider array of patients with the most advanced technology, Witte said.
