TriHealth Bridge

July 15, 2014

TriHealth Bethesda North and Good Samaritan have been ranked first and second, respectively, among hospitals in the Cincinnati metro area, and third and seventh, respectively, among hospitals in the state by U.S. News & World Report.

In addition, together, our hospitals have eight nationally ranked and 16 high-performing specialties, a testament to the skill and commitment of our system, said John Prout, president and CEO.

"This prestigious honor speaks directly to the skill and commitment of the physicians, nurses and staff of TriHealth as we continue to provide exceptional care to our community and the patients we serve," said Prout.

"We are proud to deliver world-class care to our patients, right here in Cincinnati, and both honored and humbled when our excellence in health care is recognized. This award speaks to the strength of the TriHealth system."

This is the 25th year U.S. News has published its Best Hospitals rankings, which recognizes hospitals that excel in treating the most challenging patients.

For 2014-15, U.S. News evaluated 16 adult specialties of nearly 5,000 hospitals and ranked the top 50 in most specialties. Only 3 percent of hospitals analyzed were ranked in even one specialty. U.S. News also calls out high-performing specialties in hospitals that perform nearly at the level of their nationally ranked peers and represent valuable regional sources of care.

"Consistently delivering the right care at the right time in the right place allows us to earn national awards like this, but more importantly, enables TriHealth to meet the health care needs of our community effectively and efficiently," Prout said.
