The Bethesda School of Nursing celebrates its 100th anniversary this month having contributed about $1.4 million to nursing education.
The Bethesda School of Nursing Alumni Association provides three scholarships for continuing education at accredited colleges and universities, Cincinnati State and through national meetings and workshops. In the past 20 years alone, the organization has provided nearly $400,000 in scholarship awards.
Additionally, the alumni association has donated about $1 million to the Bethesda Foundation to go toward nursing education.
The organizaiton has more than 5,100 members who work in locations across the globe.
A 100th anniversary celebration will take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 12, at the Kenwood Country Club, 6501 Kenwood Road.
