Bethesda North has been named to the list of "125 Hospitals with Great Orthopedic Programs" by Becker's Hospital Review. Hospitals on the list offer exceptional orthopedic departments that include physicians who provide outstanding patient care.

Bethesda North's was the only local orthopedic program recognized by Becker's and one of just four in the state to earn the honor (joining Cleveland Clinic, Mt. Carmel in New Albany and The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center).

In addition, Bethesda North's orthopedic program was recently ranked in the top 50 "Best Hospitals" in the country by U.S. News & World Report, and awarded The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval for excellence in hip and knee replacement procedures earlier in the year.

"In the last year alone, Bethesda North's orthopedics department has been recognized by several major organizations for their high-quality work. Now Becker's latest list of great programs is yet another affirmation of the outstanding care we provide in this growing specialty," said Jay Koch, Executive Director, TriHealth Orthopedic & Spine Institute.

Becker's - a national, monthly health care publication - recognized exceptional orthopedics departments, which often include physicians who provide outstanding patient care, advance cutting-edge orthopedic research and treat professional athletes. Many of the hospitals featured on the list have earned recognition from U.S. News, Healthgrades, CareChex and other organizations.

"It is an honor to earn this national recognition for our orthopedic program and a direct reflection of our medical staff and team who are committed to addressing the unique orthopedic healthcare needs of our patients and their families," Koch said.
