TriHealth Bridge

June 21, 2013

Renovations are complete on the new Harold and Margret Thomas Labor and Delivery Wing at Bethesda North.

All 15 rooms in the wing were completely remodeled during the project, which started in March 2012. Rooms are now more modern and state-of-the-art for patients and their families. Upgrades include new flooring, furniture, and cabinets, and restrooms featuring full tubs and new tile floors and walls.

In addition, four new private triage rooms were constructed on the wing.

The Margret and Harold Thomas Labor and Delivery Wing has been fully operational for the duration of the two year project. To provide the best service possible for patients, workers renovated the wing two rooms at a time so not to interfere with the typical delivery day.

The renovations were made possible by a donation from Margret and Harold Thomas to the Bethesda Foundation.

“We are truly grateful for the generosity of Harold & Margret Thomas. Their partnership in support our mission to provide the best possible care and comfort to mothers and babies in our community is recognized and valued,” said Andy Swallow, President and CEO of the Bethesda Foundation.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Friday, June 21, to officially dedicate the Margret and Harold Thomas Labor and Delivery Wing.
