Congratulations to the staff of the Bethesda Alcohol and Drug Treatment Program who are celebrating their 35th anniversary this month.
Bethesda Alcohol and Drug Treatment Program is the longest running private hospital-based alcohol and drug treatment program in the Cincinnati area. It has improved the lives of thousands of individuals and families suffering from alcohol and drug disorders, providing them with the opportunity for recovery and restored health and family life. Treatment has been provided at the Bethesda Oak site since 1978 and at the Blue Ash location since 1987.
The outpatient program continues to incorporate treatment advances into an already well-established set of evidenced based practices. The latest one is a protocol for the use of a medication, Suboxone, for outpatient treatment of withdrawal from opiate addiction, and as an extended, medical support as part of a recovery plan.
It is also notable that the program, which is recognized by various health care professional boards for providing specialized continuing care to their professionals they oversee, has had an increasing number of participants from the Cincinnati, Dayton and Northern Kentucky areas. The program has seen these individuals successfully maintain their recoveries from alcohol and drug disorders and return to active practice to care for others.
