Barbara A. Wexelman MD has joined the TriHealth Cancer Institute.

Dr. Wexelman performs breast surgery for patients with benign and malignant breast disease, including breast cancer. She has fellowship training in nipple-sparing mastectomy, a specialized surgical technique that removes breast tissue without removing the nipple. Her practice focus also includes high-risk breast cancer screening and breast surgery treatment options, including lumpectomy, sentinel lymph node biopsy and prophylactic biopsy.

Dr. Wexelman will see patients at the Mary Jo Cropper Center for Breast Care and Good Samaritan.

Dr. Wexelman received her Medical Doctorate from Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Conn. She completed a general surgery residency at St. Luke's - Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York and a breast surgical oncology fellowship at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital Dana Farber Cancer Institute. She also earned an MBA from Yale University's School of Management, where she focused on surgical quality improvement and health care disparities. Dr. Wexelman is board certified in General Surgery.
