Barb Meyer RN, a nurse in the Mother/Baby Unit at Good Samaritan, has received a donation from a patient through the hospital's Spirit of Compassion program.

The program allows a patient or his or her family to make a donation in honor of a Good Samaritan physician, nurse or staff member who made a difference during their stay, and also share a brief note of thanks.

The patient said of Barb: "Barb is an excellent team member. She really cares about her patients. She is considerate of needs while maintaining a professional attitude. She cares about what she is doing and shows up with a smile on her face. She did a fantastic job each and every day. Barb goes the extra mile for every patient. Thank you!"
