Dr. Bob Collins, Vice President of Medical Affairs for TriHealth Hospitals, has appointed Helen K. Koselka, MD, FACP as Executive Medical Director for Good Samaritan and Michael Andrew Bain, MD, CPE, FACEP, as Executive Medical Director for Bethesda North. The new, part-time Executive Medical Directors will be responsible for helping to develop, implement and coordinate all aspects of quality assurance, utilization management, clinical policy and procedures and peer review activities at their respective facility. Each will be reporting directly to Dr. Collins.

Dr. Koselka currently serves as Chairman, Department of Medicine, at Good Samaritan and practices with TriHealth Physician Practices - Anderson. She is board certified in internal medicine, earned her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University and medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School. She completed her residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Dr. Koselka has been with TriHealth since 1997 in a variety of roles, including Department of Internal Medicine Residency program director and Department of Internal Medicine Ambulatory Care director.

Dr. Bain joins TriHealth from Qualified Emergency Specialists, Inc.(QESI), where he is CEO. QESI provides Emergency care at TriHealth Emergency Departments. Board certified in Emergency Medicine, Dr. Bain earned his undergraduate degree from Xavier University and his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He has served as medical director of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Bethesda North, Medical Director at Bethesda Arrow Springs and Informatics Specialist with TriHealth Epic Implementation. He has also been involved in a number of committees, published numerous articles and delivered a host of national lectures.
