Good Samaritan plans to make its Mother/Baby suites more comfortable and convenient for new mothers, infants and their families.
Renovations to the 13th floor suites will begin in January and include modern updates to all patient rooms, bathrooms, corridors, nurse stations and lobbies. In addition to cosmetic updates, the space will receive some equipment replacements, new patient message boards and a new waiting area.
While this renovation does not allow for the reconfiguration of existing rooms, the hospital aims to maintain a private environment for patients. These improvements are a first step in updating other OB facilities at Good Samaritan with planning to begin in the near future.
TriHealth leaders say the first priority is excellent patient care, quality and service. The hospital expects to make every effort to minimize the effects of the renovation on patients.
Patient census will determine how quickly the project moves to completion, but completion is anticipated for summer 2015.
Good Samaritan Hospital is the region's most experienced and clinically advanced maternity hospital providing essential services including a state-of-the-art Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, the Seton Center for Advanced Obstetrics, the specialists at Tri-State Maternal Fetal Medicine Associates and the Special Care Obstetrics Unit.
