Attend the Hatton Institute's Thomas A. Saladin MD Research Forum and learn more about probiotics and their impacts on pneumonia patients and long-term results of implantable cardioverter defibrillators.
The research forum is scheduled for noon Thursday, Jan. 23, in the Good Samaritan Conference Center Room A. The Internal Medicine department will present:
- "Probiotics in the Reduction of Antibiotic Associated Diarrhea and Clostridium Difficile Infection in Pneumonia Patients within a Community Teaching Hospital," presented by Amita Buddhdev MD and Ashirif Al-Ghanoudi MD.
- "Long Term Result after an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) in Primary Prevention Recipients: The Occurrence of ICD Therapy after an Event-Free First Battery Service-Life," presented by Hiro Kawata MD.
