Hi Team –
Despite yesterday’s frigid temperatures, many of our TriHealth team members, physicians, and leaders, along with hundreds of community members, braved the cold to participate in the 50th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. March through downtown Cincinnati.
Following the March, TriHealth team members and clinicians were on-site at Music Hall providing free biometrics screenings and healthcare education to hundreds of attendees.
Yesterday’s March and commemorative program served as an inspiring reminder of the power of community and the importance of inclusion, equality, and justice for ALL.
Dr. King once said..."Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health care is the most shocking and inhumane." We agree, and his teachings in many ways serve as a North Star for our Center for Health Equity and its work to break down barriers to healthcare access, improve health equity, and ultimately, eliminate health disparities across our community...all of which are essential for Getting Healthcare Right!
And a BIG thank you to all of our team members and physicians who made personal sacrifices and braved the cold weather to march and to ensure we provided the best care and service to every patient we cared for over the long holiday weekend!
TriHealth/Beacon Partnership Keeps Cincinnati Ballet in Top Form
- At TriHealth, partnerships with the “best of the best” are in our DNA – all to fulfill our mission to improve the health of the community and the people we serve. And since 2023, TriHealth, in partnership with Beacon Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, have served as the Official Sports Medicine Providers for the world-class Cincinnati Ballet dancers and staff.
- Through this unique partnership, we support our vibrant arts community and deliver high-quality orthopedic and other care to the ballet’s performers. This includes providing a Certified Athletic Trainer and an orthopedic or sports medicine physician to assist the dancers during practices and performances, as well as offering on-site Physical Therapy.
- To celebrate this partnership and the Cincinnati Ballet – and as yet another way to show our appreciation to you, the best healthcare team anywhere – I’m excited to offer our team members the chance to win a pair of free tickets to the opening night performance of the Cincinnati Ballet’s “Wizard of Oz” on Friday, February 21 at 7:30 pm at Music Hall. - The names of six lucky team members will be randomly selected to each win a pair of tickets. I’ll announce the winners in my next Weekly Update.

Kathryn Gleason Appointed Senior Director, Women’s Services
- Under the dyad leadership of Jeremiah Kirkland, Executive Director of Women’s Services and President of Bethesda Butler and McCullough-Hyde Hospitals, along with Dr. Kristin Coppage, System Chief of TriHealth Women’s Services, our Women’s service line has grown rapidly and today is the region's largest and most respected provider of women's health services.
- And as we look to continue our bold strategic growth and expansion plans to improve access, patient experience, and clinical outcomes, the need for dedicated women’s service line leadership could not be greater or more important.
- So, I’m pleased to announce that following an extensive search and selection process to find the right and best candidate for the role, Kathryn Gleason, MSN, RN, has been selected to serve as the next Senior Director for TriHealth Women’s Services. She will begin her new role on February 3, 2025.
- Kathryn’s experience in leading positive change, her deep commitment to our TriHealth Way culture, and her track record of progressively responsible leadership roles at Bethesda North and across TriHealth made her the clear choice to lead our Women’s service line.
- Since joining TriHealth as an RN in 2008, following graduation from the Good Samaritan College of Nursing, Kathryn has served as Site Manager of Bethesda Arrow Springs, Nurse Manager II for the Bethesda North ED and Clinical Decision Unit, and most recently, as Vice President of Hospital Operations at Bethesda North.
- Her appointment is yet another example of our commitment to grow our people and promote from within TriHealth whenever possible!
- A search and selection process led by Bethesda North Hospital President & COO Dr. Clint Hutson is underway to consider the best internal and external candidates to succeed Kathryn in her role as VP of Hospital Operations at Bethesda North.
- Please join me in congratulating Kathryn and wishing her all the best in her new system leadership role!
