The International Cardio-Oncology Society has designated TriHealth as a Center of Excellence (COE) in Cardio-Oncology. This award recognizes more than a year of program development and application preparation by a team comprised of both TriHealth Heart & Vascular Institute and TriHealth Cancer & Blood Institute representatives. Cardiologist Kamal Shemisa MD and Medical Oncologist Benjamin Kuritzky MD championed this effort that embodies TriHealth’s mission of caring for the whole patient, in this case helping cancer patients maintain cardiovascular health before, during, and after cancer treatment.

The Cardio-Oncology Clinic accepts referrals and serves patients out of two locations – TriHealth Kenwood and Good Samaritan Western Ridge.

This 3-year COE designation recognizes TriHealth’s excellence in program development, research/publications, education, patient focus and quality improvement. TriHealth is one of only four centers with this designation in Ohio.

Congratulations to the TriHealth Heart & Vascular Institute and the TriHealth Cancer & Blood Institute teams for collaborating to make this possible!
