For more than eight decades, the Ruth Lyons Children’s Fund has been taking care of children around the tri-state. On October 10, a check was presented to Good Samaritan Foundation at the WLWT studios to support the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit totaling $75,000! The NICU has received annual support from the Ruth Lyons Children’s Fund for more than 30 years.
Ruth Lyons Children’s Fund is a Lifetime Giving partner of Good Samaritan Foundation, contributing more than $535,000 in total to Good Samaritan’s NICU.

Every child born in the NICU receives a hand-made quilt made by volunteers and a Ruth Lyons embroidered sleep sack, and mothers receive books and a journal to document the early days of their newborn. The Ruth Lyons Children’s Fund also supports gifts and comfort items for celebrating holidays year-round, including Halloween, Christmas, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and more.
Founded in 1986, Good Samaritan Foundation is the philanthropic vehicle for Good Samaritan Hospital to improve the health of the Greater Cincinnati community.
