Hi Team –
Happy New Year!! I hope you had a wonderful time with family and friends over the holidays and were able to rest and recharge, as we celebrate our many blessings and prepare to begin the new year. And a BIG thanks to all of our team members, physicians, nurses, and support teams who sacrificed some or all of their holidays to care for the thousands of patients in need of healthcare and who turned to TriHealth over the past few weeks!
It really was a magical holiday season at TriHealth – from holiday meals to tree lightings to visits from Santa to the opening of our fifth and sixth free food pantries, and so much more! And it was all made even more special because of each and every one of you, the very best, most caring team in healthcare! Click here to take a look at fun pictures of team members and physicians at the many festive 2023 holiday celebrations we shared together across our system.
Getting Healthcare Right

Mark Your Calendars: 2024 Engagement Pulse and Safety Survey Launches January 8
“Be seen. Be heard. Be healed.” doesn’t just apply to our patients. Foundational to our work of Getting Healthcare Right is building and sustaining a collaborative, patient-centered and team member-engaged TriHealth culture where all of our people feel valued, empowered, supported and motivated each day to do their best and be their best for those we serve. To create and sustain this culture, it’s important that you – our 13,000+ team members and physicians – have regular opportunities to be “seen” and “heard,” so we can best understand and act on your thoughts about how we can, together, make TriHealth an even better place to work, to practice, and to receive care.

One important way we do this is through our engagement surveys. So, please mark your calendars for next Monday, January 8, and plan to participate in the 2024 TriHealth Engagement Pulse & Safety Survey. The survey will remain open through Friday, January 19, and will take just a few minutes to complete. The Pulse Survey is a “check-in” with team members, and it will help us assess progress and make “course corrections” on the action plans we developed based on feedback received from June’s full Team Member & Physician Engagement & Magnet Survey. The more team members we hear from, the better we can assess what’s going well and where we can take action to improve in ways most important to you. And, this is how we foster open and honest communications and trust in leadership!!!
Stay tuned for more details in my next Weekly Update and thank you in advance for sharing your thoughts and suggestions!
Jeremiah Kirkland Named President & COO of McCullough-Hyde

As Jeremiah takes on this expanded role, he will continue to serve as President and COO of Bethesda Butler Hospital and Senior Executive for TriHealth Women’s Services. This appointment leverages Jeremiah’s strong leadership of Bethesda Butler and will create the opportunity for greater clinical and operational integration and new synergies between Bethesda Butler and McCullough-Hyde.
Since joining TriHealth in 2018, Jeremiah has stepped up to and excelled at every challenge and new professional assignment. Previously, Jeremiah served as Director of Operations at Bethesda North Hospital, Interim Chief Diversity Officer, and President and COO of TriHealth Evendale. He also helped launch our inaugural School to Work Program in 2019. To date, this innovative workforce development program has provided transformative learning and practical healthcare work experiences to more than 100 Cincinnati Public School students and has been a catalyst in building a “pipeline” of School to Work students who have chosen to pursue higher education and future careers in healthcare.
Jeremiah’s appointment is the latest example of TriHealth’s commitment to investing in and developing our own people and providing career advancement through promotion from within. Please join me in congratulating Jeremiah and wishing him the best as he takes on this important new leadership role at McCullough-Hyde!
