The Bethesda Foundation is pleased to present Grateful Patient Awards to Dr. Kathryn O’Keefe, CT surgeon and Lynsie Seta, CVICU nurse in the TriHealth Heart & Vascular Institute.

A grateful family, Lei Yang and Mingfu Qin, honored Dr. O”Keefe and Lynsie for the kind and compassionate care they provided during Lei’s stay at Bethesda North.

To Dr. O’Keefe the family said the following, “your surgical expertise and unwavering dedication were instrumental in Lei’s successful surgery. Your commitment to excellence has not only given Lei a second chance at a healthy life but has set the stage for a remarkable recovery journey.”

To Lynsie, they said, “your compassion and emotional support during Lei’s stay in the ICU were truly invaluable. Your dedication went beyond medical cure as you provided not only diligent attention for six days but also significant encouragement, playing a pivotal role in Lei’s journey back to running.”

Simple gestures of kindness often mean the most to us. The Grateful Patient program gives patients and families the opportunity to recognize a physician, nurse or team member who made a difference in someone's life with a donation in their honor and a special note of thanks. Donations made through the Grateful Patient Program help fund innovative solutions to complex health problems and make state of the art technology available to all of our patients.

The Grateful Patient Program gives patients the opportunity to give back to the hospital and team members that went above and beyond their expectations.

This is an amazing example of the remarkable things we do at TriHealth. Not only in the THVI but in everything we do. I am blessed to work with Dr. O'Keefe, and to be affiliated with the heart program.
