Fernside was established in 1986, and as the nation’s second oldest children’s grief center, remains a national leader in providing grief support services, outreach and education to the community. We offer a comprehensive school-based program to meet the needs of our community, which includes peer support groups, outreach & education and crisis consultation & support for faculty, students and parents following a death.
Fernside’s school-based peer support groups are time-limited grief groups held on-site, during the school day at area elementary, middle and high schools. We address different themes using expressive arts to help students explore the feelings they have after a death. Like all of Fernside’s services, our grief groups in schools are offered at no cost to the school or the district.
To learn more about these services and others, visit our website at Fernside.org or contact us at Fernside@TriHealth.com or (513) 246-9140.

I have a neighbors' 9 year old nephew who participated in Fernside when he lost his mother a year ago. The sessions and counseling were very good. Thanks to Fernside.
