On December 4, the Bethesda Women’s Giving Circle held its third annual Holiday Dinner and Project Selection at Eddie Merlot’s.

The event, which was hosted by Bethesda Foundation, gave members of the Giving Circle the opportunity to hear 3 presentations about programs benefiting women. At the end of the evening, members voted to award $25,000 in pooled funds to From Fatherless to Fearless, a non-profit organization that empowers and educates young women without a supportive father figure in their lives! Specifically the grant will support their B.R.I.D.G.E. programs and Better Together conference. Their website is Home - From Fatherless to Fearless.

Sonya Johnson Higgins, Program Manager for From Fatherless to Fearless, accepted the award.

The Bethesda Women’s Giving Circle was created in May 2022 to give women the opportunity to become philanthropists through collective giving that supports women in the greater Cincinnati area and Bethesda North region of our community.

Membership in the Circle is made up of women who give at the $250, $500 or $1,000 level or more each year. The Circle currently has 34 members and is open to any woman interested in joining.
