Since going live with Oracle earlier this year, we have continued to make adjustments to stabilize the system’s functionality. While we have addressed important issues including 401K deductions, residential tax issues, processing transfers, and more, we know some team members have experienced difficulty with various payroll-related issues. Because we are committed to correcting this and getting payroll right every time, we are adopting the best practice of a two-day payroll processing period.

To drive toward a zero-defect process for payroll, we have decided to extend the payroll process from one day to a standard two-day process, beginning with the November 9 pay date (week of November 6).

Team members will still be paid on time, every other Thursday. However, those whose banks offer early access to paychecks may still receive funds before Thursday, but there is no guarantee.

By adding a second day to our payroll process, we can integrate processes to validate the accuracy of payroll prior to producing pay slips and transmitting to the banks. This will reduce the amount of rework that needs to be done after payroll is completed and, most importantly, ensure team members receive accurate pay.

Thank you for your understanding as we work to improve our systems and processes.

As long as my check is paid to me, on time, without any mistakes. I have had to deal with short paychecks, due to no taxes being taken out twice since we started using Oracle.

This is a wonderful idea. I don't think anyone would mind as long as our paychecks and tax issues are corrected. Thank you for letting us know.
