TriHealth Bridge

October 06, 2023

At TriHealth, we are committed to supporting our team members in living happy, healthy, and productive lives – when you feel your best and your family's healthcare needs are supported, you are better able to care for our patients and your fellow team members.

Open Enrollment for Calendar Year 2024 (CY2024) benefits will take place between Monday, October 16, 2023 and Friday, October 27, 2023. This is your opportunity to select the benefits coverage for January 1, 2024-December 31, 2024 that makes the most sense for you and your family.

Each year, we examine our TriHealth Total Rewards package to ensure we are offering valuable, cost-effective and desirable options that are highly competitive with other health systems and employers in the region and are aligned with what is most important to our team members. Because of this, offerings from the previous year may be changed for the upcoming year. Please take this opportunity to review the available benefits information for 2024.

Open Enrollment Happens on Oracle

Between October 16 and October 27, you can access the Enrollment Center (Bridge > Oracle > Me > Benefits) to elect benefits coverage for CY2024. This article on Bridge features additional resources to help you understand what’s new, what’s changing and more details about the CY2024 Total Rewards package. You can also review the comprehensive benefits information available on the Benefits page on Bridge.

Team members are strongly encouraged to visit the Enrollment Center early to review their current benefits and ensure they continue to meet their needs. As an added incentive, those team members who log in to the Enrollment Center through Oracle between Monday, October 16 and Friday, October 20 will be entered into a raffle prize giveaway! The names of three winners will be drawn on Monday, October 23 and will be posted on the Open Enrollment article on Bridge.

Take Action During Open Enrollment

Open Enrollment for CY2024 is a passive enrollment, meaning if you do not take action during Open Enrollment many but not all benefits and insurance coverage, like medical and vision coverage, will automatically roll over for CY2024. Please note that dental insurance will default to the Basic plan if no action is taken. It is recommended that you review your current benefits and ensure they continue to meet your needs. Some benefits require action during Open Enrollment, including electing a PTO sellback, STD Buy-Up, Delta Dental Major plan or designating contributions to a Flexible Spending Account.

As a reminder, team members cannot enroll in benefits or change current benefits outside of Open Enrollment. If you do not take action between Monday, October 16 and Friday, October 27, you will have to wait to enroll in benefits or make changes to benefits until the next Open Enrollment period (fall of 2024) unless you have a qualifying life event, like a marriage, birth or adoption.

What’s New and What’s Changing for 2024

The What’s New and What’s Changing in 2024 Document provides an overview of what benefits-eligible team members can expect for Total Rewards benefits in 2024. Please review the bullet points below for a summary of what’s new and what’s changing for 2024.

  • Paid Parental Bonding Leave – Effective January 1, 2024, this new benefit offers new parents paid time off to bond and enjoy new arrivals to their family, funded 100% by TriHealth. Those team members who experienced a birth, adoption or foster care placement earlier in Calendar Year 2023 can enact the Paid Parental Bonding Leave between January 1,2024 and June 30, 2024.
  • Optional Short-Term Disability Buy-Up – This gives eligible team members the option to voluntarily purchase – or “buy up” – and additional 10% of STD coverage.
  • New Delta Dental Major Plan – During Open Enrollment, team members may choose from two dental health plans from Delta Dental, offering additional flexibility to choose the right amount of coverage. The Basic plan covers cleanings and preventive care, while the Major plan (new) will cover additional services like orthodontia and implants that are not covered by the Basic plan. All currently enrolled team members will default to the Basic plan for CY2024 if no action is taken during Open Enrollment.
  • Lincoln Financial will be the new Life and Long-Term Disability Insurance provider for CY2024. If you have not previously enrolled in Voluntary Life Insurance, or would like to increase coverage, Open Enrollment is your time to do so.
  • Medical Plan Changes – Anthem Blue Cross will continue to serve as TriHealth’s medical plan carrier, and despite the overall cost of the medical plan increasing significantly for CY2024, full-time team members will only see an increase ranging from $2.50 to $11.00 per pay period. This means that TriHealth is covering over 81% of the premium in CY2024, an increase and larger share from what was covered last year.
  • Enhanced Voluntary Benefits through Voya – By working with our partner, Voya, TriHealth is able to offer lower premiums for 2024 while enhancing Accident, Critical Illness and Hospital Indemnity voluntary benefits or plans.
  • Select Benefits Elections Roll Over – If you do not take action during Open Enrollment, many but not all benefits and insurance coverage, like medical and vision coverage, will automatically roll over.
  • Weight Management Program - With the emergence of new but very high-cost medications, such as Wegovy and Saxenda, that can assist in helping patients lose weight, the TriHealth Health Plan is launching a patient-focused partnership with the TriHealth Weight Management Program and the Good Samaritan Endocrinology Department to offer Plan Members a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary approach to weight management that will improve weight management care, quality and outcomes. TriHealth is committed to continuing to offer these very expensive weight loss drugs under the right clinical circumstances, even as other employers are discontinuing coverage.

How do I enroll! I’m a new employee and everything I click takes me to articles and not actual enrollment.

I agree Amy. Tons of articles and info but a simple "Enroll here" would be the most useful. It shouldnt be this difficult.

I'd suggest a big button that says, "Enroll here." I see only articles and announcements about the process. Thank you.

Oracle has links to previous coverage in current benefits, but the links go to the future coverage for next year. A good comparison is not available.
