Bethesda North Labor and Delivery Department recently received the donation of a Caring Cradle from the Lauber and Merillat families of Archbold, Ohio.
A Caring Cradle is a cooling bassinet that allows families to have an extended period of time with their deceased baby and to be able to say goodbye.
Kristen Lauber and her children, Trinity and Jarrett, and Danielle Merillat came to Bethesda North to formally dedicate this caring cradle in memory of the Lauber’s daughter Marleah Faith and the Merillat’s son, Miller. The families have raised $175,000 over the last 10 years and provided 16 cradles to Ohio hospitals in addition to hospitals in neighboring states.
