As we bundle up for December we want to give you some What Counts and What Doesn’t Count for reporting Community Benefit for holiday service opportunities. Reportable service activities that meet the following criteria support our tax-exempt healthcare system.
What Counts
- Volunteer work for community on TriHealth Time
- Donations to community paid for by TriHealth funding
- Time spent planning/organizing holiday volunteer work for department
- Board or committee work for local non- profits as a representative of TriHealth
What Doesn’t Count
- Money that individual employees spend on items they donate for community
- Volunteer work in community outside normal work hours
- Personal volunteer work for local non profits that is not done as a representative of TriHealth
