The McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital Foundation is honored to be named Business of the Year by the Oxford Chamber of Commerce. The award was presented at the Oxford Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Meeting and “Red Bricks to Progress” Awards Ceremony hosted at Hanover Reserve on January 19, 2023.

“This award is the accumulation of the hard work, strategic decisions and vision provided by the Board of Trustees, professional staff and our hospital and community partners,” said Tyler Wash, Executive Director. “Being an active member of the Chamber of Commerce is an impactful way for the Foundation to engage with the community we serve.”

The Oxford Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors selects the recipients from community nominations. To be considered for this award, nominees must provide a positive work environment and excellent customer service, promote the development of business in Oxford, be involved in the community and offer contributions to civic life.

The McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital Foundation was nominated and won Business of the Year due to the positive impact they have not only on the Oxford community but surrounding communities as well,” said Kelli Riggs, Oxford Chamber of Commerce President. “They have supported so many updates at McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital that provides a better, quality services for us. This is why McCullough-Hyde is our official healthcare provider.”

During the award presentation, David Bryan, Oxford Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors Chair, highlighted the reasoning for selecting the McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital Foundation as Business of the Year. The highlights included the historic and ongoing financial support of McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital/TriHealth, the record-breaking Chefs’ Celebration fundraising gala and the consistent involvement with Chamber and community events.

A hand painted lithograph was presented to the McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees. A painting by local artist Jean Vance is commissioned by the Oxford Chamber of Commerce each year to specially represent the Business of the Year. The McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital Foundation chose to have the painting represent the communities served by McCullough-Hyde, including Brookville, Camden, College Corner, Liberty, Oxford, Somerville and Miami University.

The McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital Foundation now joins McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital/TriHealth as a Business of the Year recipient. McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital/TriHealth received this honor in 2020.
