Congratulations to Priscilla Starkey, Scheduling Coordinator for CT Surgery at the Thomas Center. She has made it to the top 10 in the Greatest Baker Competition! The contest is done online and it’s won solely on public vote.
The contest voting opened up on October 24 and will continue until a winner is announced on December 29. Everyone gets 1 free vote daily. The contest is set into brackets, so at the end of every bracket the contestants with the highest votes moves on to the next round. So vote for Priscilla daily and see some of her delicious bakes (like these amazing looking blueberry muffins in the photo on the left!).
COMPETITION SCHEDULE:
Top 5 (begins November 17 and ends November 24) – Public voting will help reduce each group to the top five (5) Competitors.
Group Finals (begin November 24 and end December 1) – Public voting will help reduce total Competitors to one (1) preliminary winner in each Group Finals group who will then advance to the Quarterfinals.
Wildcard Round (begins December 2 and ends December 4) – Competitors who took second (2nd) place in their respective Group Finals group will compete in a shortened round for a chance to advance to the
Quarterfinals. Votes will be reset, and public voting will determine the top Competitor from each group who will then advance to the Quarterfinals.
Quarterfinals (begin December 5 and end December 15) – The top Competitors from each Group Finals/Wildcard Round group will be divided into Quarterfinals groups. Votes will be reset, and public voting will determine the top Quarterfinalist from each group who will then advance to the Semifinals.
Semifinals (begin December 16 and end December 22) – The top Competitors from each Quarterfinals group will be divided into Semifinals groups. Votes will be reset, and public voting will determine the top Semifinalist from each group who will then advance to the Finals.
Finals (begin December 23 and end December 29) – Votes will be reset, and public voting will determine which Finalist will be the winner of the 2022 Greatest Baker Competition (the “Grand Prize Winner”), on December 29, 2022.
The prize is $10,000 and $25,000 in kitchen appliances and cabinetry. The winner is also photographed to appear in a double-page feature spread in Bake from Scratch magazine showcasing the winner and one of their recipes. Let's help Priscilla win!
