On Sunday, November 20, 2022 at the 18th Annual Caregiver Recognition Mass at the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Peter in Chains in the City and Archdiocese of Cincinnati, our Good Samaritan Hospital chaplains in our Pastoral Care department and our GSH communion and spiritual care volunteers were honored as 2022 Outstanding Caregivers by Catholic Charities of Southwestern Ohio and the Knights of Malta.

In the 11th century, the Knights of Malta established a hospital in Jerusalem to care for pilgrims of any religious faith or race. As a lay religious order, they continue their work to this day in supporting the healing ministry for all. Catholic Charities works to empower people through God’s love in their times of vulnerability. This Outstanding Caregiver award continues the long tradition of the healing ministry in recognizing caregivers who go above and beyond in take care of our community in greater Cincinnati and beyond.
