TriHealth Bridge

May 24, 2022

On Saturday, May 21, friends of the Good Samaritan Foundation gathered at the Hyatt Regency Cincinnati for The Good Samaritans’ 37th Annual Gala, “Dancing Through the Decades.” The sold-out event raised a record-breaking $618,000! With the Gala being postponed due to the COVID pandemic, some generous individuals allowed their previous donations to be kept as additional gifts. Therefore, a combined total of $765,000 will support the Cellular Therapy program in the Cancer Institute at Good Samaritan Hospital, along with annual support of the Good Samaritan Free Health Center and Medical Education Research Fund.

Guests enjoyed cocktails, dinner, and dancing the night away to local celebrity DJ JonJon from iHeartMedia’s KISS 107.1. They also had fun with airbrush t-shirts, Dance Revolution, Coca-Cola floats, a vintage candy bar, and more! The activities, entertainment, and meal were all underwritten by sponsors.

We are so grateful to our sponsors, underwriters, and attendees who made this all possible! A special thank you as well to our 2022 Gala Chair Renita Homan, Co-Chair Lisa Martin, Co-Chair Tessie Hayden, and Physician Champion Dr. Saulius Girnius.

This year’s patient champion was Laura Broxterman. Laura shared her story of resilience and gratitude, battling cancer twice alongside Dr. Girnius in the latest Compassionate Giving magazine. Read her story here.
