Recently, team member Kimberly Siko with Good Samaritan Hospital’s NICU was honored through the Good Samaritan Foundation Grateful Patient Program for exemplifying both the SERVE values and TriHealth Way.
Along with the gift, the donor wrote this note of thanks:
“Kimberly, You may not remember us, but we will never forget you. You were the first nurse that took care of our son, Griffin when he was admitted to the NICU last July. Gina had just been through an emergency C-section and was still pretty medicated - I was just doing everything I could to not totally lose it (unsuccessfully at times). Our only prior experience with labor & delivery was seeing everybody smile and take pictures with their newborn in the movies…not exactly the reality we were faced with when you and others from the NICU ran into the delivery room that night. During the scariest moments of our lives, you were calm, comforting, and caring. Most of all, you looked after our son like he was your own, and for that, we are forever grateful. No amount of money can express how grateful we are to you and all of the nurses at the Good Samaritan NICU, but we are honored to be able to support the work that you do day in and day out. Hope to see you around the hospital/NICU when things start opening up to visitors a bit more! Thank you!! Scott & Gina Hiles” |
The Grateful Patient Program allows a patient or their family to make a donation in honor of a physician, nurse, or team member who made a difference and share a note of thanks.
