Barbara “Bobbie” and Ashley Ford are making a lasting impact on HOC with a transformational gift to create The Barbara Hill Ford Endowment Fund, which will support the greatest needs.
Bobbie and Ashley Ford, long-time Hospice of Cincinnati/HOC Navigators donors, have made a commitment to support HOC with a generous charitable gift. Bobbie has a long history of volunteer service with Hospice of Cincinnati and the patients served at the Margret J. Thomas Inpatient Care Center in Blue Ash. After beginning as a Spiritual Care Volunteer back in 1994, she has continued through the various reinventions of the volunteer function over the years and is now serving as a volunteer concierge greeter for inpatient visitors.
“The goal in establishing this new endowment fund is to provide an investment portfolio to replace and continue my annual support perpetually, whether I am around to do it myself or not,” states Bobbie, “I am proud to be a Hospice of Cincinnati Volunteer and hope that this gift will provide support for years ahead.”
Ashley shares, “Bobbie and I do not admit to pride from establishing this endowment or naming of the wing. What we profess to instead is feeling grateful and very privileged from being able to help in this way– and maybe inspire others to continue to support the cause in whatever way they can!”
“This generous gift will make a lasting impact for patients and families” states Gayle Mattson, President & CEO of HOC Navigators. “Hospice of Cincinnati is very grateful for this major gesture by Bobbie and Ashley Ford.”
To recognize this significant gift, along with Bobbie’s decades-long dedication as an HOC Volunteer, the 200 Wing of the Margret J. Thomas Inpatient Care Center in Blue Ash will be named the “Barbara Hill Ford Wing”.
