On Christmas Eve, one Good Samaritan Foundation family, the grandchildren of the Hamburgs, visited Good Samaritan Hospital to distribute 130 gift bags to team members in Environmental Services.
The grandchildren and family members visited the hospital to share the gifts with EVS, and they shared a special letter of thanks written to the EVS team members.
“Thank you for your service to others,” one granddaughter read. “The work you do is so important in caring for others in their time of need and uncertainty. Our grandparents taught us to love and be there for families, lean into faith, call upon grit, and deeply empathize with our fellow humans. The past few years have been challenging, especially for those in health care. Thank you for your continued sacrifice – we see you and appreciate all you do. In these bags are tokens of appreciation sent with great love.”
Each gift bag contained a special heart ornament. The Hamburg family members all have these ornaments that they put on their Christmas trees to remember the dedication and sacrifice of the EVS team members. It was their hope that when team members added the ornament to their family trees, they’d feel and know that they are valued and appreciated.
The Good Samaritan Foundation thanks this wonderful family for their continued support of Good Sam’s programs, patients, and team members and for spreading a little Christmas cheer this past week to our EVS team members!
