Good Samaritan Hospital Bariatric Surgery program, led by George Kerlakian, MD has achieved a Comprehensive Center designation from The American College of Surgeons Metabolic (ACS) and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP) in partnership with the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS). As an accredited program since 2014, we have continued to demonstrate that our center meets the needs of the metabolic and bariatric surgery patient by providing multidisciplinary, high-quality, patient-centered care. The program goes through a day long survey to prove standard compliance for physical resources, human resources, and standards of practice. This outstanding accomplishment could not have been achieved without the support and dedication from the team members who work directly with our patients. Our sincere gratitude for their exemplary work. Great job!
