The Good Samaritan College of Nursing Recognition Team launched the Bayley Bear Award on July 1, 2021 for all faculty and staff team members to recognize each other for great teamwork. Team members complete a nomination form describing their team member’s contribution and how they make a difference. Bayley Bear is presented to the award recipient(s) along with a certificate honoring
their work and remains with the recipient through the week for them to enjoy!
Professors Robin Sinex and JoAnn Sommer were nominated by Dar Derthick (Admissions) and received the very first Bayley Bear Award - the Wonder Woman Bayley Bear - for packing a solid punch into every exciting tour they give of the SIMS lab, bringing the “WOW!” factor and using the Golden Lasso to engage prospective students!
Dean Michelle Roa was nominated by Tracy Teetz (Campus Operations Coordinator) and received the second Bayley Bear Award - the Cheerleader Bayley Bear - for her boundless cheerfulness, support of team members & students, resilient work ethic, her willingness to be a spotter for others, her awesome smile and spirited commitment to the College of Nursing’s All Stars!
Dr. Judy Kronenberger was nominated by the entire Enrollment Management team and received the third Bayley Bear Award - the Thank You Beary Much Bayley Bear - in sincere appreciate for her tireless efforts to support students’ needs & light their paths, for consistently leading with grace, wit & wisdom, and keeping the College on track to be the best nursing school in the Midwest!
