On Monday, August 23, 2021, the entire Enrollment Management Division of Good Sam’s College of Nursing & Health Science safely welcomed new students onto campus for the first time since the start of COVID-19 just ahead of the start of Fall semester on August 30, 2021.

Once Dr. Trent Hayes, Dean of Enrollment Management, greeted the students, Santos Robles, Admissions Recruiter, provided masked and socially distanced students with an introduction to the names and faces behind GSC Leadership and Enrollment Management as well as a brief summary of the College’s history.

Students were presented with a brief review of essential information including student code of conduct and expectations, academic integrity and dress code.  Bursar information and payment plan details were shared, and students were informed how to acquire their books, parking passes and student ID badges if they did not already have those items. Students met with advisors and were given the opportunity to ask questions.

A key component of the students’ experience as they start their education at the College of Nursing will use SmarterMeasure, a tool to assist students with online and self-regulated learning modalities. All students are invited to take the assessment at the beginning of the semester.

The Admissions Department thanks everyone involved in working together to create a safe, successful and robust event on behalf of our New Student Orientation, and we look forward to the future success of our current and prospective students!
