TriHealth team members gave six presentations in the Innovation Theatre at the recent Advanced Healthcare Innovations Summit (AHIS), held September 17-18, 2021, in Cincinnati. The team showcased unique and cutting-edge capabilities in Precision Oncology, somatic tumor profiling, paired germline analysis, and world class Precision Medicine with the recent application of integration genomic resulting in the Epic EMR.

TriHealth Information Systems (IS) team members Adam Liette and Leah Vasiliadis co-presented with Tempus laboratory’s Director of Strategic Partnerships, Kevin Torres, on the groundbreaking Epic integration achieved by collaboration with many experts from Tempus and TriHealth. Precision Oncology Lead, Karen Huelsman, presented insights on the clinical advantages of integration including ordering, resulting, reporting and unique abilities to match patients with biomarker driven therapy and clinical trials. Karen also co-presented with Guardant laboratory on how Molecular Tumor Board collaboration enriches our team’s ability to make therapy decisions. Annelise Page, Cardiology Genetic Counselor, presented on the new Cardiology Genetics program housed within the newly formed Precision Medicine department. Two students from Summit Country Day School, Katie Dobelhoff and Johanna Huelsman, also represented their research on lung tumor profiling and paired tumor/germline testing in ovarian cancer, in partnership with Jessica B. Sakash Replogle, Ph.D., Schiff Family Science Research Institute Head. These presentations generated a lot of interest from pharmaceutical companies, testing laboratories and other large cancer centers.
