TriHealth Bridge

October 05, 2021

Hi Team –

Today, I am departing from my traditional written Weekly Update so that I can speak with you directly and personally through this short video about the current surge of COVID infections and the fast-approaching deadline for TriHealth’s COVID vaccine requirement. While new infections are beginning to level off in the region, our COVID census here at TriHealth hit the highest point of this current fourth wave yesterday with 120 patients in our hospitals (see sidebar with current COVID stats).

Our system continues to make encouraging progress towards our goal of a 100% vaccination by October 31. Today, we are at a nearly 90% vaccination rate across our system with four weeks to go, up from roughly 65% in early September. Time is of the essence. This is the last week for team members to start the Pfizer two-shot vaccine regimen to ensure full vaccination by the deadline. Appointment slots are also filling up quickly, so I encourage you not to wait to schedule your vaccination appointment. Click here to schedule your vaccination appointment today!

A BIG THANKS to all of those team members, physicians, and volunteers who have already stepped up to become vaccinated.  This is helping us to create the safest possible care and work environment for our patients and caregivers. We remain hopeful and optimistic that those with remaining vaccine reservations will complete their own discernment process and do the same by becoming vaccinated in the coming weeks. Each and every one of our team members and physicians plays an essential role in supporting our mission of service to our community and our work to Get Healthcare Right, and we do not want to lose even one over this requirement.

Thank you for all you do every day in dedicated service to our patients and community.

Fantastic message on the importance of getting the vaccine. I hope the remaining unvaccinated team members "see the light" this month and understand their responsibility to themselves, their fellow team members and our patients.

Thank you for your leadership. I have a hard time knowing that a science based profession, would have people who do not believe in science and the vaccine. Thank you for mandating the vaccine to help our team members and community be safer.

stay with one camera please - more effective! Very nice! So sorry to hear about you personal trial. Glad your brother is better. My family lost two persons to this epidemic before the vaccine was developed!
