"It was an honor to receive this scholarship!" exclaimed Madison Williams, awardee of 2021 HORAN scholarship.
Madison is attending Xavier University and is working towards a degree in Nursing.
Her mother, Dori Williams is a team member at Good Samaritan Hospital. When asked her inspiration to pursue this field of study, Madison stated, "I am inspired by my mother and hope to inspire people to help others like her." Dori has worked as a nurse over 36 years.
When we asked Dori about the scholarship she mentioned, "I am so very proud of Madison and her resilience and dedication toward pursuing her dream to become a nurse. Even before she made known her career intentions, I always thought she would make a wonderful nurse because of her caring, compassionate, and outgoing personality. Her willingness to always help will make her a valuable team member someday soon. We are honored that she was chosen to receive the Horan Scholarship and it will definitely help with some her costs at Xavier University."
