Race, ethnicity and language (REAL) can contribute to an individual’s ability to receive safe, quality and equitable healthcare. To further TriHealth’s diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, TriHealth has partnered with More Inclusive Healthcare (MIH), an organization that assists healthcare systems provide culturally responsive care by training and consulting on the practice and science of data collection and usage. The goal of the REAL project is to standardize demographic data around race, ethnicity and language to ensure health equity opportunities are identified and met for our patients and the community.

Starting May 17, a short 5-minute video called “What is REAL and Why Do We Collect It” regarding race, ethnicity and language will be in your LEARN “To Do” list.
