Effective May 18, the Patient Flow/Shift Coordinators (also known as PPS) from the Good Samaritan Region and the Bethesda North Region will be joining forces to become the TriHealth Transfer Center at our new Norwood location. Team members in this centralized throughput hub will collaborate with the Nursing Administrative Supervisors 24/7 to coordinate and direct patient flow. Their scope includes setting up communication between providers for direct admissions or transfers, transport tracking, bed assignment, transfers from procedural areas to inpatient beds, and transfers for changes in the level of care for patients.
Providers may continue to use the current phone numbers (865-4994 BNH and 862-2333 for GSH), but the TriHealth Transfer Center is implementing a new, easy-to- remember centralized number when a patient is to be admitted into our hospitals. 513-TRI-HLTH will route to the TriHealth Transfer Center team members. It is our goal to decrease overall wait times and improve throughput throughout the organization.
