TriHealth Bridge

May 21, 2021

Hello TriHealth family,

As outlined in Mark’s Weekly Update, the CDC and Ohio Governor Mike DeWine have each recently announced updates to mask-wearing guidelines and mandates. These announcements are welcome signs of our gradual return to “pre-COVID” times, but as healthcare providers we need to continue to exercise prudence in how to apply these guidelines across our system. New mask guidelines are planned to take effect on June 2, so in the days leading into that transition it is important for us to continue masking and following the other proven mitigation practices that have helped get us this far. In other exciting news, TriHealth will be administering Pfizer vaccine to pediatric patients as young as 12 starting this week. As we’ve said time and again, this vaccine is safe, reliable and effective for everyone, and I am excited that we are now able to help vaccinate a new, younger population. Please watch this week’s video for insights into masking, pediatric vaccinations, and the new pre-surgical COVID testing processes.

Thank you for all you do every day to safely care for and support our TriHealth patients and the community.
